[프놈펜 김영길 기자] 경희의료원 국제진료센터장인 조중생 교수는 지난달 31일 캄보디아 프놈펜의과대학 부속병원(한국 김 안과병원지원) 에서 ENT닥터를 대상으로한 축농증 치료 중심의 특강을 했다.(기사 하단부 영문기사)
우리나라 ENT분야의 명의로 꼽히는 조중생 교수(◀사진)는 10월 29~11월 2일까지 경희의료원의 캄보디아 의료봉사팀(12명) 일원으로 중도에 참가, 짬을 낸 것으로 현지병원의 ENT 전문의 20여명이 수강했다.
조 교수는 31일 오후 2시부터 약 1시간 반 열린 특강에서 수술 예(例)를 PTP자료로 설명하면서 "현대 의료기술은 첨단형 내시경을 적극 활용하는 만큼 절개부위를 충분히(적절) 확보하는 게 '병변'을 성공적으로 제거 할 수 있다"고 강조 했다.
강의를 수강한 IM LEOF 리더 닥터와 PHUONG SOMALRU 닥터 등은 "외과 조치 후 스테로이드 사용의 적정량?"에 큰 관심을 보였다.
이에 조중생 교수는 "환자 마다 병변에 따라 차이가 있을 것이다. 나의 경험으로는 20mg가 적절한 것으로 본다"고 말했다.
이어 "외과 조치 전에 환자와의 사전 교감(신뢰), 조치후 정성도 완전한 성공에 더 가깝게 하는 길일 것"이라고 조언했다.
한편 특강 후 강의를 주선한 캄보디아 국립기술대학교(NPIC.학생 3만명.국비지원) 김성철 총장이 "조중생 교수는 ENT분야의 세계적인 명의이며, 현재 경희의료원 국제진료센터장으로 있다"고 소개하자 참석 전문의 들은 "한국에서 수련 할 수 있는 기회를 갖고 싶다"고 강하게 희망했다.

Special Lecture in Medical School of Phnom Penh by Prof. Jo, Jung-seng of Kyung Hee University Hospital
More than 20 medical specialists strongly wanted to get trained from advanced Korea hospitals.
Prof. Jo, Jung-seng of International Clinic Center of Kyung Hee University Hospital gave the special lecture on the proper treatment of empyema to the ENT doctors of the affiliated hospital of the Cambodian Phnom Penh Medical School (supported by the Kim’s Eye Clinic of Korea).
Prof. Jo, Jung-seng recognized as an ENT expert in Korea (► picture) gave a lecture to the medical specialists in the affiliated hospital when he participated in the volunteer medical services during Oct. 29 to Nov. 2.He emphasized that it is necessary to secure the open area properly by using the adequate high tech medical endoscopy along with PTP data in the special lecture in the afternoon of Oct. 31.After lecture, the leader doctor, Im Leof and Dr. Phuong Somalru had deep interests in the amount of steroid used after surgery.Prof. Jo replied that 20 mg was usually appropriate even though there could be some differences depending on the degree of the diseases.Nevertheless, he advised that the sincerity after surgery was the short cut to success along with pre-communication and trust each other.The president of NPIC of Cambodia, Kim, Sung-cheol introduced Prof. Jo, Jung-seng who is the worldly recognized ENT doctor and the director of International Clinic Center of Kyung Hee University Hospital.In the meantime, many medical specialists wanted to take a train in the Korean Hospitals.
